U. Sean Vance, Assistant Professor of Architecture, was part of a three-person panel and workshop hosted by the School of Social Work which discussed "Universal Design" and the ethos of inclusion. The April 9th workshop drew experts from architecture, adaptive technology, and the science of information to discuss the mindset behind Universal Design. Central to the conversation was, "what motivates someone to design society in a way that is intentionally constructed to be equally usable by EVERYONE regardless physical and cognitive ability levels?" The event was sponsored by the Students with Disabilities and our Allies Group (SDAG) and the School of Social Work.
